Shift Alert Terms
Last updated: SEPTEMBER 10, 2026
These terms apply only to people who opt in to receive Shift Alerts. Opting in is voluntary. It is not a condition of employment, of holding an Oli account, or of using the Oli platform. If you have not opted in, these terms do not apply to you.
1. What Shift Alerts are
Shift Alerts are recurring automated text messages about open shifts at your workplace. They are sent by Oli (OliveCorp Software Inc.) on behalf of, and at the direction of, the employer or healthcare organization you opted in with (your "Organization"). Each message is limited to: who is offering the shift, the role and unit, the date and time, and how to reply or opt out. Shift Alerts contain no advertising or promotional content.
2. How you opt in
You opt in by completing the Shift Alert sign-up form for your workplace or by texting JOIN to your workplace's dedicated Oli number. When you opt in, you confirm that the mobile number you provide is yours and that you agree to receive Shift Alerts at that number. We keep a record of your consent, including the date, time and method.
3. Message frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with shift availability. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan; Oli does not charge you for Shift Alerts. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
4. How to stop, and how to get help
Reply STOP to any Shift Alert to stop receiving them. We will send one final message to confirm you have been unsubscribed, and no further Shift Alerts will be sent unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help, or email oli@ocsoftware.ai. Opting out does not affect your employment or engagement, your existing schedule, or any shift you have already accepted.
5. Accepting a shift
Replying to accept a shift tells your Organization you are available to work it. If more than one person accepts the same shift, it goes to the first acceptance received by Oli's systems, whose records are determinative. Your Organization alone decides who works a shift and remains responsible for scheduling, pay and every other obligation relating to it. Oli provides the messaging service; it does not become your employer and does not act as an employment agency, recruitment agency or temporary help agency by sending Shift Alerts.
6. Your information
We use your name, mobile number and workplace to send Shift Alerts, to record your acceptance or decline of offered shifts, and to honour your consent and opt-out choices. Your mobile information will not be shared with, or sold to, third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messages are transmitted through service providers acting on our behalf. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
7. If you are an Organization
If you enable Shift Alerts for your own personnel, you are responsible for obtaining and retaining valid consent from each recipient, for honouring opt-out requests you receive directly, and for all decisions and obligations relating to any shift you offer.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects how or why you receive Shift Alerts, we will post the updated terms here and tell you before the change takes effect. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
